I am finding peace in solitude.

"Solitude is very different from a 'time-out' from our busy lives. Solitude is the very ground from which community grows. Whenever we pray alone, study, read, write, or simply spend quiet time away from the places where we interact with each other directly, we are potentially opened for a deeper intimacy with each other." -Henri Nouwen

I spent a lot of years trying to rely on the energy that I felt from constantly surrounding myself with people.

A lot of times it had been at the expense of my personal  relationships.

As I am getting farther down the path I am on I am finding peace in solitude.

For a long time I couldn't see a difference between solitude and  isolation.

But I am seeing more clearly that it's ok to give myself the opportunity to recharge my personal reserves. To be grounded. To take in breath. To breath out. To give and to receive.

To not allow myself this opportunity and to intrude on other peoples opportunities to do the same is a disservice to myself and others.
